Re: 2010 Z1000 HID Headlight Converted
The kit i got costed AU$260 from memory. Was cheap, but has lots of problems. I have another kit here which is just the hardware, no looms or harness. If I was to do it again, i would make my own harness. If you need a hand Hib, give me a holler. I'm only over at Northmead, and the oldies are in ...

Re: 2010 Z1000 Akra Exhaust
Hey Hib, do you own the black/silver Z? I've seen one runnin' around the last few days between Parra and Penrith. Was out yesterday on the M4 blowing the carbon out of the TL, and saw it again heading westbound.

Re: 2010 Z1000 Akra Exhaust
I ran mine with the full system for about 8 weeks before my PC5 and dyno was done. What you will find is it will run rich. That is not a problem at all. What you don't want is the engine to run lean.

Yeah i know Rob. Thats the important reason for the fold away mirrors. Bloody bars are wide enough as they are!!

2010 Z1000 Mirrors
Spent some time down the garage this morning. To wet to ride, so might as well be prductive somehow.
Since buying my Z in March, the major thing that has bugged me the most, is the dicky looking antennas on the handle bars. I've been looking at bar end mirrors, but theres nothing i like. Have been ...

Re: 2010 Z1000 Akra Exhaust
I was given the option way back when i bought my bike, to get the Leo Vince GP's put on as a package deal. I personally think they are 'dogs balls ugly'. Must admit, i haven't heard them other then on youtube, but i just couldn't come to terms with how they looked.

Re: Recall 2010 Z1000
Yeah, i got my notice in the mail. Had a look, and always check over my bike while im washing it, and havent seen any problems.
Im not shy to use to front brakes, and havent had a problem. In fact, if i dont use them heavy/hard, the front brakes squeal.
Was at BikeBiz today to get my parts ordered ...

I've got mine disconnected at the servo. Leave the electrical loom connected though, so the FI light doesn't come on. Only thing I've noticed is it runs rich when idling.

Love that pipe!! Was considering a set like that for my Z made by Mivv. I like the GP style pipe, and the raw materials and welding. Plain and simplistic, or industrial looking. (i sound like some arty wanker :? ) I bet it sounds nice too!!

Re: Glove Odor
Sprinkle BAKING SODA in them, and leave them on the line to dry, with the fingers pointing down, and the opening to the top. allows the moisture to evapourate out the top, and keeps the baking soda on the inside. I do this with my jacket in Summer sometimes when they get a bit sweat stinky.

Re: Calling All Western Sydney Zed Owners
Im always keen for a ride out west.
But as some of the others have said, PITS is a regular sunday ritual :) Its one thing i look forward to all week, just to get out for a ride with fellow kwaka riders.
Im sure we get enough numbers, we can turn the regulars to maybe a ride and lunch out a ...
