Re: Quick action throttle
Motion pro started out making replacement cables from memory, so you get that obviously, and depending on the state of your oem housing, a possible cheaper and more crash resistant metal housing. And round cam wheels = linear throttle cable pull, as discussed in previous threads

Fantastic, that's a pretty good outcome and how you get return and future customers. Hopefully the ideas he gave you don't cost too much $$ 8)

Re: Need help forks are forked
Hey Russ, is there anyone else you know of you can take the bike to? I'm away for 2.5more weeks btw so I'm out not that I'd be much help. Without knowing if and what the problem is Matt et al can only guesstimate quotes. It could be nothing, it could be something, but if you are concerned then I ...

Is the shift spring or star out of spec, boot touching the shifter? Strange it only affects 6th but you didnt see any damage. Spoken to any pro's about it or on other forums?

Re: hole in clutch cover?
'bout that or more. If you can fill in the hole properly and you're confident in the work performed you could get a carbon cover on it and call it a day. Or if you anticipate throwing it down again then think about a set from NRC or vortex (solid alu ones) or Woodcraft ones which have replaceable ...

You really want to start a thread about stuff ups that cost money? $40 is a bargain, but they all add up. I had a friend that fried his ecu this year..

Re: Variable rate throttle kits.Anyone used one?
Thing is you have to keep a near perfectly constant radius which is just about impossible for backyard jobs, otherwise a consistent throttle twist doesn't equal a consistent throttle pull, which is a bit farkt.

Re: Variable rate throttle kits.Anyone used one?
Check the diameter of oem, and compare to the revolver pulleys, the slowest pulley is probably smaller than oem I'd be guessing. You get a decent housing and cables in the kit, but doesn't sound like you need it. Can also interfere with bikes with large integrated switchblocks and mcyl arrangements ...

Re: KH 500 Triple Whats it worth?
Except if a port was open and the cranks been exposed for 10yrs ie bottom end is done and crank needs rebuilding. In any case, have a look, assess the damage and the information might actually be a selling point for a serious buyer, well depends doesnt it

Re: Advice on Pirelli Diablo Superbike tyre presures for my
Pirelli supercorsa DOT for around 32.5 f & 28 rr off the warmers, Superbike pro is similar construction and compound so i'd guess similar pressures also. If the rear gets above 29 it gets slippery, and if you go down too far they heat right up and get slippery too.

Re: Thermo fan on permanently when ignition is switched on
Have a look at the wiring diagram for it to see how the rad fans are activated, ignition circuit is usually hot when the key is switched on, and rad circuit prob runs directly off that early on, so if there were a short in the circuit it might be it, but pretty unlikely on a newish bike you'd think.

What was wrong with the one bought from the states? Wrong model, poor service? It would have to be an absolute massacre horror story for me to want to buy anything like that through a dealer here.

BG  at least you thought about it - everyone's different and may not have all of your experiences to draw on. & is that 150 on top of the ~175 regular track day fee? TR/CSS charge what they feel is appropriate, and the worth of these courses comes down to the individual. For the learnings ...
