Re: Shim
Come on Andi, I've got mine down to a 3 or 4 hour job now. Just make sure you put the reed valves back in the right way

Re: when did kawasaki go FI???
hmm wot abt the 99?? im a fan of those....
The '99 was just a graphics update of the '98, whilst a great bike, I personaly think that it was just a stepping stone that finished with the '02. I listed the above because the '96 was revolutionary, the '02 a final draft of a model progression.

Re: when did kawasaki go FI???

Why the unhappy face? Would you prefer a "first gen" FI setup with all the little bugs and problems that they eventually iron out with model updates. Our (yep have an '02 as well) bikes have one of the best carb setups around and outright (not peak ...

Paper said it happened around 11:50pm, thats about the time I was finishing up in the garage, I'd say its beyond probable that it was the same guy I heard. It was a warm night too so knowing what most people wear on bikes around here it probably wasn't much. The ambo station is only 300 metres away ...

While I was out in the garage that night the only sound to be heard was a bike running back and forth "practising" clutch up monos. They obviously need "practise" because they were having 3 or 4 attempts every time. They were running it out through 3 or 4 gears too, so the speeds would have been ...

Re: Rear brakes are for the dirt kiddies!
I also hope that you teach them to apply the rear, fractionally prior to applying the front!
Applying the rear fractionally before the front causes the rear to squat slightly, thus as Tones so rightly says, lowers the centre of gravity. It also brings the weight bias slightly towards the rear in ...
