Re: ZXR750 Electrical Miss - Coils?

They run what's called a wasted spark setup(firing the coils on cylinders that are not on compression stroke). i wouldn't think it would be your coils as it would be highly unlikley that both would fail at the same time. The CDI is what controls the coils and the wire that comes off that also goes ...

Re: your ninjas drag strip times??

best was a 10 flat. 18psi boost. front wheel everywhere at the start then the rear wheel everywhere at the finish. The next run it went BANG! The new motor, turbo and EFI is SOOOOOO much better, but i don't think it'll go much better down the quater unless i stretch it. I'm not doing that ...

I have built a custom bike and yes it's a money bucket. I got a zxr750 with zx9 motor, turbo, injected etc etc. Lots of fun to ride but very fiddly. If you want something you can commute on or ride down the island, i wouldn't recommend it. To me it's all worth it when you roll up next to a modern ...

I use barnett friction plates and springs and sandblasted steels. works a treat and i'm pumping out 217hp at the wheel. There is a guy in peakhurst area that does your old plates. apparantly very good and not expensive. he advertises in AMCN.

I know someone who fittted one to a ZX7 with FCR's. It makes no extra power, although it was easier to tune as you don't need to rip the carbs apart every time. He is still constantly having to retune though. don't know if it's the carbs or the flo commander that causes this.

I'll post a picie of mine soon. I mod'd a tri-oval to fit inside my fairing. Definately earplugs essential. best thing is the sound of the turbo spooling up through the exhaust. photo's to come
