No PULP

Hi All,
Question for Adelaide members. Down here in the Noarlunga area no one has any 98 octane, and can't say when the next shipment will arrive. What's it like around other suburbs ??

Have never had a problem at Mobil sites, simply swipe the card at the pump, fill, and go.
Stops having to wait while clowns pay for their weekly food shopping etc.

Jason, there is no chance in hell of moving the axle if the nut is tightened correctly. If yours does, the nut is not tight, or, you have a serious problem. Check it out.

Thank you all. Advice taken. First I've dropped the pressure, and straight away noticed improved front end performance. I am 90Kg and use the front brake heavily, (fat bastard).
Changing the tyre will have to wait a bit longer :(

Neil, the tyre's history is unknown, I've had the bike for 4000kms, however there is still about 3mm depth until the indicators.

Front Tyre Scalloping

G'day all,
On the front of my '9' I have a BT 010 running at about 40 PSI. Frankly, I've no idea if thats the optimum pressure because there is severe scalloping happening. Help!!.

I have a rear wheel carrier on the back of the 100 Cruiser, so if I do the same to the' 9' I could easily rotate the tyres every, say, 1000Km. A bit of lateral thinking can solve anything. Funny, can't keep the front wheel on the deck!!!

Guy's, thanks for the input.
No, by the time I got home, I hadn't lost much pressure ( I left the wire in ).
Today I went to 'Bills' and bought a plugging kit, I have done the job before on my Cruisers
Dueller tyres with no ill effect. So, I'll give it a go.

The other piece of kit I got, is a ...

Tyre Repair

People, I have a three week old Battleaxe on the back of the '9'. Unfortunately there is a 1mm piece of wire in it, dead centre causing the deadly hissing noise. Not a problem you would think, lets get it repaired. After all, it's jusr a tyre, NOT. Whats all this bullshit about speed restrictions ...

Carb icing

I use Mobil 98 ron, cos I used to make the stuff when we actually had a refinery in Adelaide.

I didn't do the mod, it was done before I bought it 3 weeks ago, apparently the bike was sitting in the dealers since August last year, but I have put 3 fills of fresh fuel since.

I'm doing 110 0n the Southern expressway, just cruising really, suddenly there's a loss of power as I wind the throttle open. On the overrun down the hill to ...

Cam chain replacement

Hi all,
In one of my other posts, I mentioned that I was in the process of doing a cam chain replacement on a mates GSXR750. The last time I did this job, it was quite simple using a joining link.
When the mate went to get the replacement chain he was given an endless chain and told that it needs ...

ZX9R C2 (1999) Owners Booklet/manual

Folks, I tried to get a new manual from a local Kawasaki dealer, only to be told that it is no longer available ( no S##t Sherlock). So, does anyone have one out there, either in PDF, or I will pay for postage for copying. I have the service manual (thanks KSRC), so its not that critical other than ...
