I have just got off the phone to Team moto. Kawasaki is adamant they will not cover the cowl under warranty. However Team moto at Albion have agreed to replace it as a show of good will. Still won't see me back there handing over money for servicing trying to keep an inneffective warranty alive ...

Thanks for all the support guys. I definately do not intend to go away. I paid good money for this and to keep this warranty alive. I want something in return, even if I have to knock on Mr.Kawasaki's door himself

It's just like Qride up here. It's all about numbers and bums on bikes. Production line teaching is what I call it and run by the people who sell bikes. Hmmmm work that one out. ANy wonder the road toll is on the increase.

Personally Smitty I would go with either the 12 or the 9 for 2up riding. In either case your pillion is going to be perched up high so I hope she is ok with that. I have the 12 and it does everything you say but then the 9 is a great bike too. Either way you win

Rang bike performance and said for a 12,000 sevice about $380-$400. The only thing is that kawasaki specifies in it's owner manual that to keep the integrity of the warranty the bike has to be serviced by an authorised kwak dealer. For the same thing Kawasaki want about $500.
