Re: STREET LEGAL EXHAUST ZRX
I had an IXIL on my old REX (Now Laidback's).
It had/has different baffles to tame it down a bit. It had a nice note, and has a noise compliance plate.
I never had a problem getting past rego inspection with it here in the ACT.

Re: Bike trailer wheel chocks
I think the Kaneg Trailer Mates are a good option based on their flexibility and stability. I use mine in the Garage from time to time but have also used them in Vans to transport my bikes. I never bolt them down and have never felt they would allow the bike to fall over.

Re: ZRX Tyres
I had M5's on mine for a long time. Would not hesitate to have stayed with them if not for commuting duties. The rear just wore out to quick commuting.
I switched over to Road 2's on recommendation from my mechanic. I did not enjoy them the first time around (on the bike when purchased), but soon ...

Re: ZRX, I love it to death, BUT
Mate sorry to hear. I'd pull the clutch cover to see if it is starter tensioner related- fix may not be that bad. :(
Already pulled the Clutch cover off. There is no further damage than it had 30,000km ago when i did the fix on it.
 You certainly did get a dud. :(

Re: ZRX, I love it to death, BUT
Well, the story with the ZRX has almost come to an end. Last Friday, on my way home form MickLC's Long way home ride (Canberra), the motor lunched itself. The engine developed a nasty rattle and seconds later, died at about 60km/h. I had little warning and less time to stop before it got nasty ...

Re: Buying my wreck back?
If you had the bike since new, put 75k KM's on it and were happy to keep it on the road, it should be no problems on the track mechanically.
Change the oil every 2nd track day and after a 2 day race meet and it should be fine.
