I'll chip in if we can get enough takers to cover it. Mostly for nostalgic reasons as the activity is minimal. A pity to lose all those years of resources, but I'd completely understand if you didn't want to keep it going Dave.

I got sick, moved out bush with shitty internet and had to sell my bike. I've slowly clawed my way back. Bought another rex. But the illness doesn't allow me to ride far. Did 300klm with malzx9 a few weeks back... took two weeks in bed to recover. Hence my absence. I don't post much on the fb page ...

No mate. The filter can be removed without all that. It's a little fiddly to get the bolt out, but it can be done and once done for the first time, you know exactly where to position shit to get it in and out.

GPX750 is I think now old enough for club rego. Good choice. Has the H1 750 motor, which is close to 100hp and can still get good ones for a few grand. A lot lighter than the XS11 too. I think you would find an XS a real handful Andi. They are a big lumbering pig of a thing.

If tracking it, the 04's had a shitty rear suspension linkage which was harsh and very hard to set up to get a good lap time from. I still think a good low klms 05/06 636 with some suspension work would be perfect. When mine was new and completely stock, it could keep up with fully prepped race 600 ...
