Jardine RT -one Slip On

Anyone ever install a Jardine slip on muffler on their bike? I just purchased one for my 94 ZX7 and it looks horrible..... The connection at the flange is so mismatched, it looks like a hand built connection. The original can is about 6" in diameter and the Jardine is about 4" with a 2" reducer that ...

re: cylinder flooding question

good point about the pump.... I should have known.

I pulled all the plugs just now and turned off the garage lights. Seems like the plugs got fouled, although they are brand new. The spark is radial and weak on all plugs, and the bike refused to start. The only thing i think is that when i went ...

re: cylinder flooding question

choke was off. I tested the plug wire and the cap I am getting good spark. I tell you, this is the worst problem I ever had with this bike. To date it's run flawless. What I don't have installed is an in line filter. That I need to do.

cylinder flooding question

I had prior posts regarding my 94 ZX7 firing on 3 cylinders and huffing whitish smoke excessively, after standing for a couple months unridden. It's cold here in the US this time of year.

Well, I discovered my #1 cylinder is being flooded with gasoline and not allowing the plug to fire ...

re: 94 ZX7 Question continued...

It was warm enough to attempt to locate the source of my smoking problem. Actually I discovered my starter is acting up as well. I have a new, fully charged battery and I hit the starter and the bike clicks.... after a few more stabs at the starter, it fired up. That's a whole separate issue I ...

re: 94 AX7 Question continued...

I'll try to anawer the questions all in one post, thanks for all the responses! Regarding the battery..... I forgot to mention the bike was cranking over very slowly, subsequent to a charge too. It was 3 years old, so I needed to replace it just to get a good crank.

I kept it running for about 1 ...

94 ZX7 Question continued...

I bought a new battery for my ZX7 because it wasn't firing well and it was billowing smoke (noted in a prevoius post). Anyhow I charged the battery just placed it in the bike and it fired instantly. Still pouring whitish gray smoke. It felt as if it would stall if I backed off the throttle so I kept ...

re: 1994 ZX7 engine operating question

i certainly will. thanks for the advice. I charged my old battery and just tried to get the bike to start, as no shops were open today .... turned over a bit slowly and popped a couple times. Tomorrow is a holiday here in the US and I have the day off from work, I'll pick a new battery the battery ...

re: 1994 ZX7 engine operating question

i am going to try to get a new battery today although most shops are closed Sunday's in the winter. My old battery has been on the charger for several hours. I'll attempt to start it again later this afternoon when the temperature rises a touch. I am a bit concerned about getting it restarted. After ...

re: 1994 ZX7 engine operating question

As far as smoking yes it was the whole time.... normally after it sits for a lenghty time it will huff a bit for a few seconds but this time it was as if it were a chimney. I ran it for about 45 seconds, it responded well throttle wise.

The weather here has been cold not overly snowy however ...

1994 ZX7 engine operating question

Found this board today out of panic.... Went to start my 94 ZX7 (8000 miles) on the clock, this morning to store it for winter here in New England. The bike turned over very strangely, kind of erratic, not smoothly like every other time I've ever started it. I've owned the bike since new.

The ...
