sloppy gear shifter

Hey all,
I have a 91 ZXR400 track bike that has an increasingly sloppy standard issue gear shifter. Ive coped with it for a while but now I think its responsible for a couple of mis-shifts and wonder if there is a remedy to this- or just find a new one?
What tends to wear more the inside of the ...

Re: Bike Discrimination

I really dislike cars and find them usefull for towing motorbikes to race tracks only.....
They prolly wanted you to lug stuff around for them, like coffees and stuff. What good is a car? it sits in the car park at work for 8hrs doing nothing but taking up space and getting dings from other cars ...

ZXR 400 rear ride height

Hi all,
On a recent outing at the track on my ’91 ZXR 400, I got my crap together and really honed down my lap times. I really surprised myself and I’m very happy! Although I found that I was scrapping my toes and foot pegs excessively. So I’m looking for some rear ride height increase. I have what ...

ZXR 400 fuel tap question

Hi all,
Since I got my ZXR 400 Ive had a confusing time recognising the correct position for on /off/ res! its a stupid question but, what position is the tap in off, on res? Ive got no reference on the frame like a ZX6R I had did as the frame has been painted. I had the tank off months ago and had ...

Re: Brake Discs and Gear Levers

Hey,
I just did the disk rotors and pads on the wifes 03 ZX6r, I considered the S3 gear but I went for MetalGear instead
http://www.metalgear.com.au/display.php?cPath=1472
they cost a bit more but the quality is high, my mechanic has fitted them before to other bikes and agreed with my choice, I ...

Re: Dunlop SPORTSMARTS

Hey
totally agree with the power pures, just put some on the wifes ZX6R and it transformed it even she is muscling it around like never before, and helped her to pick here pace up in the twistys straight after fitting them! so Ill go for power pures too if the sportsmarts are hard to find!

Re: ZX6R '03 Brake disks

Hey all,

ZX6R '03 Brake disks

Hi all,
Just put new tyres on the wifes ZX6R, and while finishing up putting the wheels back on I was shocked to notice the front brake lever coming nearly all the way back to the bar- this was after a lot of pumping. So I thought I d better suss this out on the road. I got some speed up and applied ...
