i just tried the bike without it and it looks like the carbies need rejetting ..
On high RPM, the bike started misssing...
I don't want to rejet and i guess what you said makes a good point so the snorkel is back on again

Hey guys,
last week i was cleaning my air filter and forgot to put the air box snorkel on properly.
When i started the bike, it seemed quiet normal when idling and then when i reved it it sounded much louder/deeper and that's when i noticed that i forgot to put the snorkel back on so i fitted it ...

I can't upgrade due to P plate power to ratio restrictions. I was thinking i won't have any restrictions since i have an overseas license but the RTA said that since i am registered on their systems, my current P plate license takes priority over my overseas full License... what a ...

Hey 6maniac, how is it goin?
Do you ride your bike under the rain? the Er6-n is a bit naked and not sure if that would affect it under rain.

I don't have my mind set on any bike yet but i'm quiet sure it's definitely going to be a Kawi :)

6maniac, thx for the info mate, apparently the the battery was dead. When i tried starting the bike on the old battery, the bike showed about 7.5 volts!!!!!!
Pretty much dead i guess :), i got new maintenance free battery that was showing 12.6 volts ...

it's definitely the battery, it died on me again today after two short rides. i got a friend to test the alternator , same way Ron suggested and it's working fine.
I'll get a new one on Monday morning

The issue is that the guy from Lion batteries said that the battery is definitely not fully charged and to fully charge it , it's either taking the bike for a long ride which i did before but didn't do much for the problem in hand or maybe buying that 45 dollar charger.

just came back from Lion batteries in Seven Hills and the guys their just tested the battery with a multimeter and he said it wasn't showing enough voltage but he suggested that i fully charge the battery and come back for him to fully test it again. He is suspecting it might be the ...

I checked and cleaned the connections yesterday and no, the bike is not garaged , i only cover it when it's raining and i live around parramatta.
PS: i ride ion the rain all the time, not sure if this would cause any issues.
