Re: Bike maintenance 101?

Your bike is an 07 brand new bike Wendy so doing any sort of maintenance other than lubing and adjusting the chain should be left to the dealer and the warranty servicing.

Were your bike to need fork seals done it would be under warranty for two years either way. Probably the most you could ...

Re: Trouble with the Gixxer

The only solution for this is to remove the valve in the exhaust.

You can post about this and that for the next decade, but this is a known issue worldwide with gixxer 600's and it isn't going awawy until you remove it.

The paayable solution is to get them to ream out the bearing location as this ...

Re: suspension settings for you zrx12

A good way to suss your front rebound is to hold the bike upright and hold the front brake on and push the front down as far as you can and then let it rebound back up all the while holding the front brake so the bike stays stationary.

The forks should come back up and stay up..e.g, they shouldn't ...

Re: The tyre slut is at it again!!! Roadsmarts!

But with 42 Psi in it
Is this a ZX12 thing or do you really run that pressure? A lowside wil be coming your way if you push hard with those pressures as your contact patch will be miniscule.

Re: In need of some moral support....

Hey Wendy the speed was 128 in an 80 zone on your first post and now it's 108?

If it was a typo it's a good thing for you as it means you keep your license ;)

Re: New bike, $14k ride away?

Most forum junkies couldn't ride to save their lives so the bike is not a contributing factor if you are after a 'scratcher'.

Re: Gearbox issue

Rode it today and it rides and changes gears perfectly for the time I was on it.

Maybe you might need to apply more pressure to the gear lever when changing up gears Wendy and it may resolve the issue.

Next time we're out I can take it for a longer spin and see if it happens then.

Re: What do we own?

Currently a GSXR1000K6.

Considering Suzuki has won 7 out of the last 10 IBOTY and a swag of Masterclass awards along with nearly every world title you could come up with I'm pretty happy with my gixxer :D

Although they say the 08 ZX10 is going to be the bike to beat so hopefully kawasaki might ...
