Re: Insurance time..

Just beware with Real Insurance (admittedly over 6 years ago) I made a claim and because it was over their threshold ($7,000) I had to wait 6 weeks for the money. It wasn't a problem for me at the time as my bike was not my primary mode of transport and I had the cash to buy another bike in any case ...

Re: canopy question

Look up a site called www.razorback.com.au They do a steel canpoy with central locking. They are based in Sydney but distribute via 4wd places. They are the most expensive on the market based on my research.

Re: Salary Sacrifice

Noone can answer this unless they know your specific circumstance.

Ultimately it depends on your marginal tax rate and your actual usage of the car ie business v personal. Everyones circumstance will be different. Be careful on the one tonne carrying capacity/no fbt myth. It only works in very ...

Re: Salary Sacrifice

Define dedicated work vehicle. My vehicle is registered for personal use. However as part of my package the company provides me with a company car or car allowance.

Might need to check with an accountant to be sure

Re: Salary Sacrifice

I do it and like it as it allows me to buy anything to use as a company car (within reason and age). The only down side or issue is that you have to do a log book for 12 weeks once every 5 years and can only claim the percentage of work kilometres from your total expenses. That is if you only use ...

Re: Just got myself a peice of history

Germany is one of the most advance countries in the world and not cheap. They don't assemble all their cars, but they do the design and manufacture of key components.

Their are some simple reasons why the car industry failed in Australia
1) They manufactured cars that were either only or largely ...

Re: What happened to Actions Parramatta

Asset ownership depends on registering title. Be warned just because you own the asset doesn't mean it is yours. Under current legislation if you are leasing a vehicle and go broke unless the asset is registered it can go to the primary or secured lender.

Thus if the supplier haven't registered ...

Re: Coles insurance

Definitely pay for what you get. I used a cheaper insurance company when I once had to claim. Whilst they paid out as the claim was over "the limit" the operator could authorise I had to wait for approval or I could accept a considerably lesser payout and keep the written off bike, which wasn't ...

Re: 2014 Moto GP Tipping Comp. is here!!!!!

Maybe a stupid question, but am I right to say that whatever you tipped previously automatically is your tips for next round? I noticed that it had my last round tips as this round tips and thought they worked last round so why not again.

Cant work out how I got equal first points with a couple of ...
