re: Vortex 98
This is always an interesting debate, my other ride is an Audi A4 turbo Quattro, and Audi Australia only recommend one fuel by brand and that is Shell Optimax. Now I know the engines are somewhat mechanically different, but interesting that was warned off the fuel for my 636....what could be so ...

re: First oil change - Motul 3000+ 4t 10w-40
Thanks mate,
Interesting as I said Motul's web site has no mention of the 3000+ hi tech oil, but your link has, and it makes more sense... so thanks.

First oil change - Motul 3000+ 4t 10w-40
Guys,
Going to do my first oil change after 250Kms (Yes, I know the 1st service @1000K's its done) But just my research on breaking in new motors, a new filter and mineral oil change at 250 - 300Kms has great benefit.
Anyway, bought the above mentioned oil, tried the Motul web site and it's even ...

re: Insurance companies
I have just taken out fully comprehensive insurance with Suncorp, $790 per year, $300 excess and can pay by month. (for my new 636)
The big benefit is that with a new bike, they will (and I hope it never happens to anyone) replace with new if written off in the first two years, and as far as I know ...

re: 05 ZX6RR ( No underseat pipe )
I also had seen this on another forum, and the general comment was that it's a certain photoshop job, just check out where the exhaust is mounted, clearly not on the rear set but looks like it's just hanging!
My understanding both new '05's are underseat set ups
Cheers

re: Shell Oil
Whilst not an oil response (I use Mobil 1) the dealership that I bought my new bike from recommended that I should not use Shell Optimax as a fuel. Pretty weird as he could not back this up with any data or technical reason, just said that many had fuel related problems.

re: About to go for license
yeah, look my point is that Q Ride should NEVER be viewed as a fast track to a R licence, and I guess it will be by a certain element out there. The reason I gave them a tick (well the one I went to anyway) is that he failed 2 of the 4 participants for that very reason, ie that their skill level was ...

re: About to go for license
Hi,
If it's any help I went through a registered Q Ride test last week, deal is to get a R Licence (unrestricted) you have to have a C licence for minimum 3 years (Car licence, that is) and a learners RE licence (which as you may know involves answering 5 dumb questions), if you are experienced it ...
