'99 ZX-9 Radiator issues

Hi guys,

had some cooling issues with my 9 lately, I've been through and replaced thermostat, water pump and check all the hoses (the cheaper options as I had a bunch of spares) but my fears have been confirmed, the Rad has a tonne of broken or closed off fins (almost a third of the total fins ...

hehehe, she's already had the "Pleasure" of Gos's company. Good choice on the ZZR Macca, was sad when Lurch told me he was selling, but nice to know it went to a good home :D

Re: GPz900 Exhaust

Yeah, I don't want to spend a bucket load at the moment, but I do have 10months to finnish restoring it until I get off my P's.

have had Gosling and ProblemChild around to give me a hand with it, all Gos needed to do was touch the thing and she started

GPz900 Exhaust

Recently discovered some snapped welds and some serious rust on the headers on my project bike.... rather than try and fix it, i've thought of just replacing it with a 4 into 1 system... not really a fan of the stock 4 into 2...

I'm fairly new with this stuff, so peoples opinions would be ...

Re: need help!!!! asap!!!! PLZ!!!

A sticky throttle cable or return spring may cause it, but i've just had a look at the parts diagram here - http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/9/Kawasaki.aspx

it actually has a opening and closing throttle cable as I thought. maybe try oiling both cables first and see what ...

Re: need help!!!! asap!!!! PLZ!!!

If the carbies on the gpx are similar to the zzr i used to have (from all acounts the rest of the bike is similar) the throttle has a second cable which pulls it back rather than relying on the return spring to close the butterfly (not 100% on my terminoligy, so feel free to correct me :) )
