heya RG ,
i went through similar crap last year.
this is what i learnt;
because you are claiming against his insurance,
they don't have any right to take away your bike.

Re: Modified ZZR250s

at last year's toy run
a bloke was exhibiting a ZZR250 drag bike he built for his 16yo son.
all he had done was fit a turbo and elongate the swing arm.

Re: MuZaK; is it safe whilst riding on the roads
safety-wise, sound, etc......
very interested in the topic,
on the road, weighing up safety -vs- benefits is a big concern!
benefits include;
- more powerful
- smoother
- faster
(raised a similar topic on another forum <click here> if ya wanna have a squiz at it)

Helmets..?? Whats Cool!!
My vote is for a Solid; Plain White (or Bright Colour);
IMHO;
- White most likely to be noticed in someone's peripheral vision*
- White reflects the most light; hence keeping your head cool
- Plain Colours are the Cheapest
- You can't see your helmet whilst wearing it

Re: Will they fix it ? Pics of damaged ZZR
Hey oz4x4 ,
Hope ya feeling better!
It's funny, the first thing i noticed was i have a watch mounted in exactly the same spot on my ZZR250 .
You may yet be lucky, with you bike that is,
my bike recently suffered less damage than yours and it was written-off.

Re: re: Shopping Centre Car Parks
Thanks again Felix,
a bit of positive encouragement makes the decision easier.
Also, one of my friends just got his [L]earner's Permit at HART.
If i keep the 2fiddy, he can use it to get some riding experience.
You're spot on about the gear; proving it wasn't serviceable was the hassle ...

Re: Shopping Centre Car Parks
If I am reading that right, you would still be up nearly $2k after fixing it?? I wouldn't have to think about that...
Hey Felix,
thanks for the encouragement.
I must admit on paper it looks like i am $2k up,
however in reality it ain't as good as it looks.

Re: Shopping Centre Car Parks
Hey Timbo,
your lucky it came in just under $3000, and they fixed it!
Suffered similar damage to my ZZR250 when a [P]-Plater
lost control of his mum's car in the wet, slid out 180 degrees,
crossed into my lane and sent me sliding down the road.

Re: Netrider membership
NetRider was the first forum i ever read.
From there i followed someone's post into here.
i am very saddened with what is going on with at the moment,
but after all the MRA bashing that has taken place on NetRider,
it is kinda like of poetic justice or some sort irony .
