Re: Equaling the Top Gear Stig lap record
The Dax Rush is also AWD if memory serves. Besides, the lap record is into the 1.16s now, and that's not any faster than the R500 which could have gone faster with warmer tyres.

Re: V8's VS superbikes
The did a test a while back in AMCN I think, a CBR600 vs some kind of hi specced Porche GT something-or-other at Wakefield Park...the bike won easy and cost less than the optional ceramic disks on the Porche

Looks like I hit the parental jackpot. When I raised the bike idea they didn't mind at all and let me sell the car they gave me to pay for it.

Re: Michelin road 2 tyres
Jono's a fan of the Roadsmarts. I've got Road 2CT's front and rear and I love 'em. Though the only other tyre I've ridden on was some proddy-spec Diablos on my old 250 Bandit which are a bit out there and not really comparable.

Re: Victorian Motorbike Rego!
Just don't mention NSW rates !! What you pay for in Vic for total rego, is just the 3rd party insurance component in NSW !!!! :x *starts to dry retch (AGAIN)*, yeah that's not the half of it. The only way i've found to keep the costs HALF reasonable is to have the bike ctp & 3pp insurance with the ...

as long as the leather is a good thickness and the stitching has good binding, you can't go wrong.

Giant fail. The M-Sport paint job is an all-time classic and never, ever, ever looks bad.One of these days, BMW will hire a painter who isn’t constricted to colors and designs from the 1970’s.

Everyone should get behind Tex on this, the arrogance he's found from the Road's Minister's office is astounding.
