Re: 2000 ZX9 - Any Ideas ?

Must be something with the 9's - my front indicator is broken too!!!! - although mine was done when I was about to pass a mate up in the hills of the gold coast and he hit a stick (more like half a tree) - which then flicked up and hit my bike - taking out my indicator and then my leg!!!! - thinking ...

Re: 2000 ZX9 - Any Ideas ?

Thanks for all the feed back!

Would love to replace the thing completley (would definitly be a ZX12 over a Yamaha!!!!!! - ZX10 would be my choice!) - however there are "greater powers" that must be convinced of these things!!!!

Heres another twist to the tale - before riding home yesterday - I ...

Re: 2000 ZX9 - Any Ideas ?

It is a very strange thing for sure!!!!! - this basicly always happens when it is first run for the day - or after it has sat for a number of hours. (eg ride to work and ride home) - dosnt seem to matter what time of the day or what temperature it is either.
Only the one key on the key ring.

Re: 2000 ZX9 - Any Ideas ?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I agree it would be great to be able to swap parts over - just dont know anyone else with a 9! Just to complicate things - the problem does not seem to be intermittent as it dies in almost exactly the same place every day! - did I mention I hate electric problems ...

Dont know if it helps or not , But I used to ride a 93 ZXR750 L1 from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and back every day (aprox 195Km round trip) and I was monitoring the fuel usage - ended up with an average fuel usage of 4.7 litres / 100Km or just over 60mpg.

This was of course all highway (legalish ...

Best Suspension Setup for 2000 ZX9R

Anybody know what the best suspension setup is for the ZX9r? I have the manual and have set it to "factory default" but I wanted to know what others have found to work. All this suspension stuff seems like black magic to me!!!!!!

I dont know if this is of any help but I have the same bike (Mica or black or what ever colour they call it) and I bought a hugger for it off ebay from the states. Fits well and looks the part. I can send you some pics if you want.
