Thanks Dave.. how's the GPz1100 going?Gosling1 wrote:Hi Pete - great to see you back on board![]()
M5's are good - but you could also consider a set of Dunlop RoadSmart's. These are a great tyre (maybe I am biased being a Dunlop fan from way back...)

Re: Bridggie BT023's
Thanks for the input gentlemen. I suppose it'll really boil down to what tyre I can get at reasonable price.
Dunlops are easily accessible, followed by the Bridgies. Haven't trip to source Metzelers here, but that shouldn't to hard to figure out. Do the M5's come in a 170?
Cheers,
Pete

Bridggie BT023's
Greetings from paradise fellow ksrcians...
I've been mainly stuck on a boat (SOB) for most of the last 18 months, hence my lack of attendance.
I am seeking advice on tyre choice for the Rex. I've been out of the tyre buying loop for a while and was wondering what the aforementioned BT023's are ...

G'day Gos,
When masking the bolt holes, are you just placing masking tape across them and then trimming the excess with a blade?
I will be performing a similar task on my '83 and am looking for guidance. Luckily I have a spare rim to practice upon.
Cheers,
Pete

Awesome achievement guys!
Wally, Robbie and Croz all seemed impressed, they probably wouldn't have even looked at the bike if they weren't.
Congratulations,
Pete

How the story begin...
For years i raced 2troke machines. CZ, Jawa, Yamaha RD... Never liked them.
I've always wanted an old Kawasaki, aircooled, 4cylinder. Maybe the Mad Max, and Stone movies left traces in me, i don't know. What i had on my mind were Z1000, Z750, or even gpz900r. Crankshaft ...

Hi Pete - long time no see mate :kuda:
Let me know what you need, there are a few places out there with bits for these bikes - I know a bloke down here who has one of these in parts and hasn't done anything to it for a couple of years.
Hi Dave,
Yes it has been a while since I've frequented ...

Good on you Gos'!
Love those old GPz's, hope to be picking up an '83 750 basket case, so may be picking your brain for parts suppliers/contacts.
Cheers,
Pete
