congrats Saki...just remember that the good things in life take time to acquire and an instant to disappear...think of your life, your licence, your bike, in that order and you should be fine...lead foot err lead wrist 'n' all!

That would be me :D
Heres my rant  It works, and lets you adjust pressures if you feel the need (eg ...

A few little tips....
1) Do NOT ride on the bike so much that you break the 'seal' (or bead) of the tyre against the rim - you will NOT be able to fill it up even with a servo's air compressor/thingy
2) If there is not enough pressure left in the tyre, then pushing in the special tool to clean ...

Well, so far no milk...what came out of the bike was a copper-brown, and currently it's still showing the greenish tinge from when we flushed it out and refilled it......

have you checked that the water pump isn't shot?
Ta - I think once we've isolated it to the cooling system, the whole thing will be investigated....pump, hoses, thermostat, fan, etc. Any idea on exactly how to check the water pump? I have noticed a swirling vortex thingy inside the radiator when ...

I, too was out there for the V8's with my family, we went on the Saturday as it wouldn't be as packed - it was still a great day out, and I, too am looking forward to another track that has great spectating capabilities.

Better off describing the symptoms, it might not be what you think..

GPX250 Fan operation - how to check?

Hey all,

In my ongoing battle with my mates '88 GPX, I need to know how I can test/check that the fan (and I guess the entire cooling system) is actually working?

Any solution on or off bike would be fine :)

Mike, thanks for the info. I suspected it was something like that, but seeing as we started the bike AND changed gears, we thought it was broken before I stuffed it....then I realised we were on the centre-stand all day!

Another one solved! :D

GPX250 Clutch switch - wot's it do?

Can anyone tell me what the small switch does that's activated/deactivated when the clutch lever is pulled in/released? It sits underneath the clutch cable, and has a ~12-15mm post sticking out of it....

I broke the little switch off whilst replacing the clutch lever and need to know what it does ...
