if the water blew out of the overflow after rilling the overflow bottle to the brim, then that would be understandable.
When the bike gets warm the water level rises (hence the Hot level and Cold level) on the overflow bottle.

We really f'd up with the oil side of thinhs then.
Theres no way for me to know how much water we added but it wasnt as if the container was empty before filling which we did until it was completely full.

Ok lets delve a little deeper into the actual situation which occurred. Picked up the bike from lithgow some 90 something kms from sydneys west. Was so happy with the bike and keen to get the 2hr return trip over and done with that nor me or any of me mates checked the liquids-not to say there ...

well the temp and oil lights usually only turn on after stopping, it doesn't usually appear whilst in motion which would indicate to me (someone of limited mech background) that the wind keeps the engine cool whilst at speed and nothing is there to continue the job when things come to a standstill ...

Sorry about reviving a dead thread but....you serious? the consensus on some of the U.S forums are that the sports bars are the first or second thought of mod with the 650's and are classified almost as a must have.
