I doubt that you would be entitled to a replacement lid because an 'aftermarket' visor is unsuitable bit like asking for a total refund on a bike becauset he aftermarket exhaust does not give the sound you want.
But, a shop may be willing to refund in the name of 'good will'.

Insurance will go absolutely bananas if these kind of cases win, and i'm not talking about for road bikes, i mean track owners, the clerks of motorcycle racing events. It'll take what is a cheap form of motorsport and quadruple (or worse) the costs before you know it.
