[Once out of warranty I'd do minors ie Oil, Filters etc myself and get a good mechanic eg Allfixed to do the majors ie Valve clearances.

cheers man.. yeah i have been doing a little research on filters k&r seems to be the weapon of choice... just trying to suss it all out have no idea about this stuff
only been into it for a couple of months but keen to learn the best and efficient way to run my bike...

Longer rides but vary your revs as regularly as possible and DO NOT strain the engine,
keep it free revving at all times (so higher than you need , not lower)
