Re: Our serving defence personal!

Whether you want the troops home or not, deploying overseas isn't all bad...

I bought my Gumby during my last deployment! :kuda:

Re: Rearsets for a Gumby

After a few false starts (and some difficulty in finding any in stock) I've finally got a set of Sato's on their way. Despite my limited technical knowledge I was thinking I might have a crack at fitting them myself. I'm sure some of you guys would have done this before, is it relatively ...

Thanks fellas - just ordered a set of Vortex from the states. Hoping they arrive by the 21st for a Northern Circuit run!

Rearsets for a Gumby

Hey guys,

My Gumby needs replacement rearsets (the Creek claimed the LHS as a sacrifice) so I was wondering what you guys recommend - I've seen a lot of guys with Sato and Vortex, any opinions?

Alternatively, if anyone has a set of stockies lying around that they don't want, let me know what you ...

Re: Gumby repair bill?

Thanks guys! Smithy, cheers for that, Smithfield isn't too far from me so as soon as I figure how to secure a bike upright in a horse float, I'll be good to go. Stevo, that website is awesome, might come in handy.

If all else fails I'll turn her into a track bike... then buy another one for a road ...

Gumby repair bill?

So, the poor Gumby had a bit of a tumble at the Creek. Long story short, she went down on her left side on the gravel. Obviously won't be covered by insurance (dammit!!!) so my poor hip pocket is going to take the hit.

I'll take it somewhere to get a repair quote when I get a chance, but in the ...

Re: NSW margin for error on speeding reduced to zero

I can almost tollerate people going under the limit, but why in the hell do they speed up when there is an opportunity for me to pass them :x :x :x

Exactly. If you want to do 10km/h under the limit, that's fine. If you want to do that on a narrow country road with no opportunities for traffic ...

Re: 2 piece suit question...

Smithy, that's exactly what I was trying to ask - it seems there's a disconnect in my brain between the ability to think and the ability to form a coherent question!

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm gonna go try some gear on ASAP. Want to have it all good to go before my first track day in May

Re: 2 piece suit question...

I don't want to get a track only suit (yet) as I'd be wearing it on the road, too - all I have at the moment is a Dririder jacket and Draggin jeans, so upgrading to a 2 piece I think will offer the right tradeoff of protection and convenience for regular road use. I've just booked my first two days ...

2 piece suit question...

Hi guys,

I know the 2 piece suit thing has been done to death, but I ran a search and couldn't find the answer to this specific question...

Is a dedicated 2 piece suit more effective than a leather jacket that can be zipped to a set of separate pants? For example, I'm looking at a Dainese jacket ...

Re: Picked up the new baby...

Well a week later and I'm in love. I could rave for hours about how awesome it is but I guess you all know the feeling!

Wattie - no idea who's bike it was, I got it from a dealership in the Hills District. The salesman said it belonged to a cop but he may have just been spinning me a line?

Picked up the new baby...

Finally got my hands on it after waiting for the last 2 months. All I can say is... wow. Chalk and cheese compared to the old beaten up R1 I used to own. Have only done a few short rides so far but I'm going to spend a good few hours on it this weekend. So glad to finally own my dream bike :D

Oddly enough, you're not the first person kind enough to make that offer! :D

Hopefully I'll survive the wait, I've managed to make it through the 12 months since I sold my R1...
