Re: is this new news ?? about Aitchison
We share a last name and we both ride Kwaka's (Albeit on totally different levels). Stranger yet is that his middle name was also my fathers name. Is it too much to hope there's a relation somewhere?

As above.
I can ride whatever I like, but It's illegal for me to drive without supervision.

Re: Squiding on hot days
The thought has crossed my mind a few times. But being the unlucky S.O.B that I am, I know the one time I decide to ditch the gear something will happen and I'll regret it. :P
I just put up with the heat. At a minimum: Leather jacket (Seems to breathe better than my textile one :S), 3/4 Gloves ...

Re: Changing Sprocket Gearing
Aye, I'm a mechanic by day (Well, apprentice, but only a year to go. Not with bikes though, much to my disappointment
). But there's plenty of tools laying around.

Re: Changing Sprocket Gearing
I actually went out today and and worked out my base speedo error - 7.6%. A -1 front front adds an extra 6.2% on top of that for a grand total of 13.8%; So your example was pretty much dead on Blurr. :D
So it looks like I'll be going with the -1 after all, and the speedohealer.
Cheers all. :kuda ...

Re: Changing Sprocket Gearing
Wattie; Correct, they already run a 520.
Tim; Now you've got me thinking. But no, no stunting :P
From what I've seen 15/45 is the combination that pops up the most on the 07-08's... However, having a poke around on Gearing Commander, the numbers are different from what I remember the last time I ...

Oops, forgot to mention the chain will be getting replaced as well, not just a sprocket swap.

Changing Sprocket Gearing
I'm looking at going to a 15/45 (-1/+2) setup on my 6R, but I'd like to get some opinions on a couple of things first. :)
Steel or Hard Anodised Aluminium rear sprocket? As with tyres, I don't mind sacrificing a bit of longevity to get a bit more out of it (From a performance perspective) but I don ...

Ahh, I see. Silly me.
I'll have to make it more conspicuous next time.

Re: Introducing the Flamer9000 from KwAkra Timdustries
Beautiful! :kuda:
I really need to get some money together while the Aussie dollar is still high. :P
Oh, and I see that the Akra doesn't have any heat shielding on it; Any noticeable extra heat come off it?
Btw Tim, saw you turning off Sunnyholt Rd onto Quakers Hill Parkway a few days back (I ...

Re: your ninjas drag strip times??
Anyone ran a new ZX6 down the quarter?
Mate of mine borrowed one (stock performance wise) at WSID awhile back and managed high 10's straight up (Don't recall the exact times). He does have a lot of experience though. :P
I've taken my '08 6R (Also stock performance wise at the time) to WSID two ...

I'll say (more or less) the same thing as everyone else. :P
About 6500rpm at 100km/h, wasn't revving off it's head at 100km/h on the M2 every morning (If you can believe I even got to 100km/h on the M2).
