Re: Tim's Impossible Throttle Challenge!
If you do a superbike school you have to ride the first session using throttle control only. No brakes at all and no gearchanges. It works great on the track but would be tricky on the road. Smoothness is definitely the way to go faster, and isolating your inputs so you work on one aspect at a time ...

Re: TD - overtaking techniques, do's and donts...
I would highly recommend a day with the superbike school. They cover all of these points. I marshall at a lot of track days so get to see all the mistakes that can be made.Probably the best way around a slow rider is to use a different line. Tip in later so you are on the outside when the guy hits ...

Re: ZX6R 05-06 Replacement Chain & Sprockets
Good on you, Rob. I'd encourage every rider to take a hands on interest in the maintenance of their bike.
Replaced the chain and sprockets on my son's mate's CBR250RR this afternoon. Did the front brake discs and pads on my youngest son's FZR250 and my partner's GSX250 last week. Just make sure ...

Wheel swops
Does anyone know what would be the best way to fit a 17" rear wheel to my 89 ZXR250. I am sick of the limited tyre choices for 18" rims. Is there another wheel that will fit straight on , or will I have to make up spacers etc

Re: um now it wont start (ZX6RR)
Not sure about ZX6, but my ZXR will start with sidestand down. It only cuts out when it's in gear and I release the clutch.I Used to think I was stalling it, took a while to figure out. They are all different some will allow starter to turn but no ignition, some don't allow starter to turn. I would ...

Re: Stone the movie
Love that movie. It didn`t age well but who cares. Back then I rode british now I have seen the light (from the land of the rising sun) and ride green, But I still dont believe a stock Z1 could beat a Norton round the twisties.

Re: Cold start issues
I have been having the same problem with my 89 ZXR 250. It starts easy once its been ridden. But now it wont start at all. Has a strong smell of petrol and backfires loudly through the exhaust
