The gudgeon pin does seem quite loose, but who knows. As for the piston, it's hard to see past all the oil and carbon to tell if there's any pock marks!

Anyway, the bloody thing didn't blow up. He got a good hour out of it, then the clutch started slipping. Not sure if it's the clutch shoes or the springs. Probably the springs. Either way, it's up on the bench and waiting for me to whip the clutch out. A set of new springs from Cannon Racecraft, a new piston kit and she should be right as rain (which, by the way, is a stupid idiom).
