Nope not in your head. One thing causes it and another exacerbates it.
The bike is choked at those revs to limit noise in the ride by test for ADR's. Thus it's a little lean or rich, I can't remember, in that rev range. Add to that, the Micron pipe, especially if it has not been remapped and that will increase the issue. I had an 05 which is the same, but left it with a stock pipe and it was OK. Not crisp, but not flat. Having said that, I rode that thing up around 6 or more pretty much every where so it doesn't matter that much. I think 100kph was 6 or 6500rpm stock, so it was always above that mark.
