Seat Shaving

Postby Clift » Fri Dec 31, 2010 7:36 pm

Rightio,

For the most part the height of my 6R is no problem (riding around, stopped at lights etc). However, when it comes to things like "pulling" it out of a slight decline ( E.g side of the road) it can be a bit of an issue generating enough force to do so. :P

I'm about average height, but I have annoyingly short legs :(. So I'm looking at having the seat shaved down to give me that little bit of extra foot contact on the ground.

Wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere to take it to have it done? And while we're on the topic, what other options do I have aside from lowering the bike?

Cheers! 8)

if you wanna try somewhere local there's an autotrimmers in castle hill who have been doing some motorbike seats when I've walked past I can get the details for you later in the week if you'd like.

As far as generating momentum backwards up a hill I hold the front brake compress the suspension right up then haul on the bike..... Or just walk it back by holding the bar and the seat... Much less strain :kuda:
