Do you want original? or is aftermarket cool. Give MOOSE RACING a try, Daryl imports Hagan shocks from the UK

Yep, Darryl can do some nice classic Hagon shocks for a MkII. These are cheaper than the equivalent IKON's - if you want these, you need to go to Proven Products in Albury. 7610 is the model number.

Another option - if you want some extra adjustability - you can get some really nice shocks from YSS racing in Adelaide. These come in a few styles - piggy-back resevoir if you want.

Thanks Guys.
Its only got to be perfect.
Do you think the Hagons will be like ridding a bag of spanners?
I have a set of Marzocchi shocks that need a rebuild.
Anyone do that?

And while we are at it, does anyone rebuild Mulholland's?

The Hagon shocks are really good quality, and cheaper than the IKON's. IKON shocks for a Z1000 are nudging $500 a pair these days  - where the Hagons are still only around $350 a pair. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the Hagon shocks at all. Personally I think they are better than the IKON shocks.....

A set of Marzocchi shocks that need a rebuild  - is there any other type of Marzocchi shocks ?? These shocks were an improvement over the OEM shocks back in the 70's and early 80's - but not by much. They never lasted very long before the seals started to leak, and a rebuild was needed. 5000km down the track - rebuild them again.......and again.........and yet again. Gowanloch Motorcycles used to rebuild these, but I think most places gave them up as a bad joke around the end of the 80's. They are definitely not worth spending the coin on to get rebuilt.

Thanks for the info, saves a lot of time.
No need to make the same mistakes as others.
Hagons it is!
Konis in the bin.
Now, what about a z1000 engine??
Another project on the go.
