It was well after dark and I was on the highway to Toowoomba - not alot of traffic - so I was cruising up this long hill at about 120k. When all of a sudden these headlights were in my face... next thing I saw was blue and red flashers.

I checked myself - yep, 120k - gone... and I looked in my mirror to watch his indicator come on and pull off the side of the road.
Then the thought occurred to me...

1. he'd have only seen me for a flash of a second.

2. There's no plate on the front of bikes.

3. by the time he's turned around and got up to speed.............

They claim the top speed of the ZZR is about 240.

Yeah F#$K IT I thought....and I peeled it on...constantly checking my mirrors for blue flashers....

The speedo needle was pushing very close to 250 when I decided to back her off. And no tailers anywhere in sight.
I cruised on into Toowoomba and down the range home.
I got to thinking about modifications. Things that can be done to improve the overall performance of these things. The suspension really does need attention i think. Its bouncing all over the place in corners if bumpy. It feels way to soft.
Can the ZZR600 be turbocharged ? and if so, who does these kind of conversions? And what is the ball park figure to expect when having this kinda thing done?
Cheers,
Jay.
