I'm not sure that I believe but by the same token I don't disbelieve. If it helps people to gain strength in they're own being and to bolster their confidence whether it be day to day or when in crisis then it can be a good thing for their psyche. It is when over enthusiastic zealots become overbearing that I turn off.
I voted yes after a long deliberation.
I couldn't have put it better myself.
I was brought up anglican - so there's some things I'll never get rid of (the odd instinctive 'prayer'/'beg' once in a while).
But once I got out of home and saw what the real world was like I realised I didn't really think much of any organised religions. Some aren't bad, but most are all about control - which may have been slightly understandable when people weren't educated, but make little sense today.
I think there could be someone 'up there' - but if he/she/it is at all interested in us it's only at the macro level.
