Well here's a little update just incase anyone is interested.
I followed the advice from several people i got from different places and took off the Power Commander. Rode the bike around for a couple of weeks and didnt have it cut out on me again. I emailed powercommander and told them and they suggested that i reset the PC and reload the map. I did and put it back on. Went for a ride yesterday, got to 120km and fuel light came on. I was riding what i would describe as mildly, definatly not going hard. Anyway it was almost dead empty by 150km. How's that for fuel economy
I also started to take more notice of the poping that the exhaust made. Yes it did this from the start, but i just thought that was normal. Went for a little ride today to further investigate the popping. Accelerating in first and backing off quickly resulted in much loud popping. I actually got a few cheers from some construction workers as i went by. I went to a quiet road and watched the exhaust in the rear mirror when it was popping. Bloody hell! No wonder i was getting cheers, bloody thing was
blowing flames out the back end!

Now while this no doubt looked very cool, my limited knowledge told me this might indicate lean running. Took it by my mechanic and he checked the fuel mix with the sensor on his dyno. Yep lean. Real lean.
So i rode home slowly and took off the PC. Yep still popping out the back end.

Anyway, im taking it in to let the pro's try and figure it out. Bloody dissapointed though, i hope i havent been damaging the motor riding it like that. I havent heard any sounds like rocks ratting around so im guessing that means its not pinging. I hope not
