Why bother when it's Illegal! Just going to cause you all sorts of legal problems if you get caught!

Now that the right thing to do is out of the way, on a car I have heard of using a big hammer & a long drift/piece of steel/timber etc.
Does a slip on exhaust remove the cat convertor?

Because you might gain 0.5hp without it? I dunno. I didn't realise it even had one!

The slip-on on my 12 did not replace the cat, afaik most 'cats' are further down the collector, when I took the stock can of the 12 you could see the honeycomb of the collector.....

and Yes, according to some people who have done it, you take to the cat with a long screwdriver or long steel drift, belt the fuck out of it while trying to 'prise' it off the sides of the exhaust.......then start the bike, rev it heaps, this will blow out all the frag.......

Personally, I think 'belting' anything inside your exhaust will cause problems with the exhaust bolts and/or exhaust gaskets......

Leave it in there mate, and just replace the whole system with an Akra or Arata, Yoshi, whatever, that has NO cat convertor.

As they did that quite some time ago, I would be a bit suss of that fuel as fuel goes OFF after a quite short period of time

I think the Cat is in the can on the ZX10's ( I could be wrong though, heaven knows it's happened before) so a slip on gets rid of it.

Does it really make any difference though?

Yep, and it clicks and ticks like buggery whenever it is warming up or cooling down. Things are much quieter with a slip-on 8)

Thers a how to on a american board it involves taking off your exhaust hacking it with a angle gringer to acsess the cat converter removing said catconverter and welding the exhaust back together.

Probably cheaper than a full akra system but i dont know if it would be as satisfying, i never recomend hacking anything when theres a better way.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

I don't think you can do that as it clogs the cat up & the exhaust won't breathe at all!
