gpz 900r pods?

gpz900r 91 model, would the carbs need retuning if i fitted 4 x single pod filters?

they sure will and honestly its not worth the probs

you will lose bottom end performance

If you are racing and want to tune for topend then go for it but if you ride in the street and want a bike that performs smooth through the rev range and has reasonable fuel economy then keep the airbox

the airbox is designed the way it is for a reason

years ago I removed the restrictor in the airbox of my GPZ900- the service manual showed earlier models without it. Bolted it back together and tried to ride it to work the next day- ran fine until 3000rpm, then died in the arse- terrible trip into and from work- put it back in that night- I can imagine that pods would do massively terrible things to the carburation. :oops: :shock: :?

thanks for the advise, have bought a uni-filter replacement. :shock:
