On the way to P.I. a few of us dropped into Mornington Kawasaki to meet John and the team and to get him to have a look at Russels and my bikes on the dyno..
John spent a lot of time and effort on our bikes, mine in particular, to try and get them running there best. Unfortunately for Russel a fault in his PC3 meant the throttle position sensor wasn't working correctly and he couldn't do much with it, but using my map found the air fuel ratio was just about spot on for Russ's bike.
My bike was another story though, as this was Johns old race bike, he had a bit of interest in seeing what he could get out of it.... and boy did he try..
The bike had already been mapped previously so extracting more ponies was always going to be difficult, but after trying numerous combinations of fuel / air mixture options he came up with a setup that picked up another 5 hp on top and good gains thru the midrange....
John would not take the bike off the dyno until he was happy with it... We had to crow bar him of it so we could get to P.I.... Great stuff...

John then came out to P.I. and did the double header track days with us, giving great advice on lines, gearing and markers that helped everyone that listened.

So if your looking for a good dealer for bikes, parts or servicing give John at Mornington Kawasaki a call and he'll look after ya, but if you getting dyno work done be prepared to stay back a bit... It'll be worth it... :-)

I'll double that sentiment. A huge thanks for all the time he spent that afternoon working on both bikes.

Also from the moment he was out there he didnt stop working on other peoples bikes (and riders) in effort to get them faster. Helped me get back on the track without missing a session on day 2 with some handly tie wire work as well.

I wish we had a Kawasaki Motorcycle dealer like that up here. the range of products and bikes he has down there is just amazing and I cant think of any up here that would be able to match that range and some of the prices I saw!!! :kuda:

Top stuff John and thanks for all the help. :D

... and he didn't mind the rest of us hanging around the workshop and the store checking out all of his "bits".

On the basis of this thread I rang John last week looking for a new alternator/stator cover for the 9 (second hand ones are like rocking horse shit) and bought one from for $200 posted after being quoted $280 from Pro Kawasaki and $250 from Team Moto, all I can say is another big thanks to John :kuda:
