OR a 12, but NOT a 10.
See there is this thing called technology.
They stopped developing our bikes some time back....
Like PRE-Y2K mate.
Sorry to bring some reality into it again.
What we do have but is EXCITEMENT.

Excepting MY 12 of course... BUAWAHAHAHA
Wow I iz impressed that they can get such fat heavy things to go around corners faster than slightly overweight things must be that monocrap frame.

Which was my point Hammer

1st 10
2nd 14 on sheer usability of ridiculous amounts of horsepower
equal 2nd 6 debatable depending on use
4th Not going to start any arguments now

Put in variables and what use it will have it changes of course, this is just imho. 8)

Now all of the above are debatable depending on use and year, this is just imho. I havent ridden a new 6 but just on technology and past experience, they would have to have it over bikes that were designed in the 90's. Slipper clutchs in just an example.

If we get into old model vs new arguments with modified and unmodifed, as WELL as the bikes use it just gets too complicated with too many variables. Having said that a 06 will beat an 04 will beat an 02.
The only real way to REALLY do this stuff is multiple bikes and riders swapping around on the same circuit whether it be road or track.
Its the only way to take the variables out and for an agreed concencus of "Yes this bike is better than this bike".

...and my 12 still kicks everythings ars, of course

For me, I'd pick the 14. The only reason I'd buy one of these bikes is for straight-line performance or for touring - and the 14 seems a better pick for both.

Obviously this isn't taking into account price... :P

I'd have to pick the 14.

It's the one that is closest in size and riding position to the zx9r '95 model I ride at the moment.

And that's where the familiarity stops!!

I ride every day and clock about 300k's a week so having something I can ride in the city and get out on the highway with my wife on the back (did someone say something about no grab handles?...) would be absolutely fantastic.

The current 12 is a sports bike. There is no tourer about it.

and there are bold riders;
But there are no
old, bold riders.
