If you know who the people that provided the first aid kits and blankets were, i'd appreciate it so i can give them back and the to the people who were on the ride, I'd like to take up a collection and donate it to the Bulger Volunteer Bushfire Brigade who show up almost every weekend i'm informed, to clean up when a motorcyclist drops a bike on the Putty Road.
Guys, this is my first post since the incident, I'm overwhelmed by everyones concern after the accident, you are and always will be a dead set bunch of top guys and girls and a small group of people that would be hard to meet in any lifetime, for this I do thank God.
The way in which everyone rallied around at the crash site was fantastic, the only people that saved people were the people that got off bikes, or picked themselves off the floor and thought in an instant we've got to help..........
Things were bad as it was, if it hadn't been for the friendship and need I say, comerardary(hope I spelt that properly) things could have been a lot worse.
Do not believe anything you read in papers, yes there was a 35 year old male, who lost control on a bend but there were no 'car drivers pulling bodies out of the inferno'
I won't go into details because I don't think an open forum is a suitable place and we all agreed this after the acco, but if it hadn't been for us, injured quick thinking BIKERS, guys like Ty, Dave and Hoffy could have been a lot worse, WE helped our fellow BIKERS out initially.
Great thanx goes to the bloke down the road who didn't blink to allow the 000 call to be sent from his place and then come and assist, thanx to all the ladies that exited their vehicles as they stopped in the line of traffic to help administer first aid, especially the wonderful nurse that bandaged Hoffys leg and made Ty and Dave comfortable.
I'm pretty sure the ambo's took a good 45 mins to turn up, which is understandable where the acco happened, when they arrived they were fantastic.
As Dave said, a big thanx to the local bushies, they did a superb job of controlling the burning bike situation and were there if anyone needed assistance.
A big thanx to MadKaw for his help and the lift home from Jus(legends) and to Glen, who for no fault of his own had to pillion a 100 kg injured pom on the back of his 05 10 back past the Halfway House until we met Justine, how many times did that suspension bottom out....Cheers mate
As for the guys that got caught up in the acco, I really hope you mend up soon, I've spoke to a couple of ya and ya seem in good spirit, I wanna get up to see Ty next week sometime , so if someone can Pm me details I would appreciate it, I know how ya feel in the pain area, my right leg is pretty farked up. You are a bunch o top blokes and it really cuts me that this happened, thank God everyone came through.
In time I will post a ride report, but obviously at this moment in time it probably wouldn't be suitable, when we are all mended and what has happened has passed, I suggest we get a large quantity of alchohol and a big table and sit and drink ourselves silly over the fact that we are are still here.
Luv you guys, (as I've said in Pms- a manly way

)
Damon.
