I love my ZX7r because it can keep up with 2000 model R1
on the road once set up. So I got myself a superbike spec
ZX7rr 98 model to do it to them on the track. :D

I should mention that I got my old 7 dynoed at Sydney Dyno (and yes I have the chart).
128.7 HP (at the rear!!) with a Indigo (bought out by Leo Vince) exhaust, K&N's (useless) Dynojet kit.....
Thats pretty close to a stock R1

Best track day I had was dicing with a race RGV 250 ... wicked !!!
Worst was cartwheeling at Darlington.....

What the fuck is that? That has to be the longest post in ksrc history..
It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even if chequered with failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, as they live in grey twilight that knows no victory nor defeat.

You must have got one made on a good day. My one has full Muzzy pipe
4 degree advancer, K&N filter , 520 chain , float bowl mod .
& I only got 114 Hp on Parramatta Kawasaki dyno. :(

I had a slip on, jet kit, straight thru air ducts (doesn't mean much on a dyno, mesh removed from filter and it put out 109 hp on Parry's old Dyno, which is now, (or was) at Radars..

I'd trust the Parra Kawi dyno as it newer and has been calibrated to the Kawasaki Racing team dyno... so I was told..
My 9 dyno'd 140hp on it (un tuned) but got up to 150hp on others...

The only 7's I've seen putting out that sort of HP have a lot of engine work, such as putting the pre 95 crank in to increase stroke..
Like this one putting out 128 hp..

Funny you should say that as Dyno Dave rang Parry's straight away to say he had a 7 on his Dyno with pipe, jet and filters making 128.....
He sent them the charts too.... all agreed I was just lucky....

Ever since I missed that gear but, she just aint been the same ...

I WILL find my chart (I am moving house) but if any of you Sydney ZX7R guys are talking to Dave Holdforth he may remember it (and I know he never deletes his charts).
It was about 4 or 5 year ago and there has been a lot of people through his place but he may remember the Rocky guy that spent a two days there (he only charged me for 12 hours!!) and still bitched to him about it (and then had to come back and apoligise) and roared up the street like an idiot telling him it was "no different" (well at full throttle why would it be  )
The apology came after a day at the Creek... he was right smooth (power) is VERY fast....
He was as impressed as I was and I know his files are sorted so he may find it if he has time.
While it had 128hp it had a BIG hole at 5000rpm, I left with 118 and the smoothest fattest torque curve :D
BUT Dave was STILL not happy as he reckons it SHOULD have both (ie good torque and high hp) but I was out of money and holdidays  .
He tried EVERYTHING, softer springs, longer springs soldering up vaccum holes etc. etc. etc. but we never seen that initial reading again.....
Mucking with those carbies for that long ensured my next bike was fule injected
