Examples of lap times between 600cc and 1000cc have been provided for either good or top level punters.

But what about the average track day punter or the not so competent?

My guess is that the one thing that the average punter is missing is high corner speed irrespective of engine size and that's why their times are so slow. The only place where these punters will go fast is down the straights therefore, the extra torque of the 1000cc bike would be quicker
I live with fear everyday but on weekends she lets me ride.

Real men ride 1000's
Pussies ride 600's
Was going to start with that one!!!!!!
Each and every to their own, get beatin round broady by those pesky 600's all the time.
I just find them lacking in power, cant beat the feel of a angry thou gettin on the power, and want to enjoy it while i can. track days are just for fun. so thats how i take them mostly these days, so a little play with the power is fun!!! sadly 600's dont have much!!!
Sure that will get a bight or two?

Well as long as you take into account that Blurr has a 6 and a 10,
Strika has a 1200 and a 600

The rest you know.

C'mon, put your order up!
