mate gave up smokes 6 -8 weeks ago (i had 2 at HG, but thats abt all in the last 8 weeks)...and beer ive been off for abt 3 weeks....i drink bourbon & diet coke now...haha
but at least im excercising...
Im not feeling positive about it..... I have closely followed the diet I have been given, but I have not had the motivation or the opportunity to go to the gym..... This week isnt looking any better either since the company I work for is doing their roadshows at the moment so its late nights every night... (I have to admit at this point that I am also put off by the early sunset and the cold weather).... I did go out for a long walk on saturday, and did a bit of walking around at broadford on sunday, so I am hoping that helps.... I guess we will see how well diet works without exercise..... But Im not holding my breath.... That said, if I dont see a good result this week I will be trying harder to waste some energy doing stuff...
Only just saw this thread, so sorry for the late congrats. Good on you man!! It'll be the best thing you've ever done. I'll have to send you a 'former' pic of myself....
With the alcohol deprivation issue, I didn't really have too much of a problem because I don't drink beer, so rather than having wine or girly pop like I used to, I would have vodka with a diet mixer. Tonic and gin work the same. The Bourbons, rums etc. have a lot of sugar so you have to forget about those. Vodka with diet coke isn't even too bad. I really like it with the new Schweppes Diet Ciata/Agrum. Tastes good!!
Just had a thought. We should start a KSRC Biggest Loser comp. Could have regular Sunday exercise meets, progress reports and pics, weekly prizes donated by your biggest fans, voting polls etc. It'd be a good laugh for a good cause.

Good luck Stereo. It is bloody hard this time of year with the weather being cold keeping you indoors all the time. I also resolved to lose weight about 3 years ago when I hit 120 kg. Have got down to 97 kg and hover between that and 105. My advice is to do regular exercise, drink less and eat a sensible diet, but do't go on a diet plan as such. You sound like you have the right ideas already though....
PS like the biggest loser idea.
