My new "trackie". Still road rego'd though, til the later part of 2012. 04 crim. Bone stock other than an akrapovic slip-on. Brand new Q2 rubber.

Image

Bought on whim to replace my ZX12 that got knocked over at the dealer carpark... so I can go to chrissy track day. Figure the rest out later. I think some forum members may know this bike, previous owner took it to Phillip Island with KSRC a couple of years back.

Feel a lot better having something like this though, the 12 was just getting too much mods to recklessly risk at the track... PS dealer is replacing all damaged parts with brand new genuine kit so thumbs up there.

Nice pick up..... You don't muck about, get the OK from the misses one day and a new ride the next..... Sure you haven't just had it under wraps somewhere waiting for the Ok ;)

Nah I just knew the missus would change her mind within hours. I saw a window of opportunity and jumped....

I have been slinking about secretly earmarking potential track bikes for months. I knew of and had already inspected this particular one some time ago. I think if I was to start buying mods for it though, I'd find myself murdered... so she'll stay the way she is for a while.

Think you've got her pegged actually. Watch this space for the update in the not too distant future.

For what it's worth the bike went good, once I figured out how to ride it... which took about 3 or 4 sessions. I'm still off the pace of the 12 round there though.

A "missus" will remember something you did twenty yr's ago if it wins her an argument

Hi guy's
The two bikes I currently have is a Z1502-6 Kwaka (MAX). I bought the old girl brand new in 1986 as stock standard Z13300-6 then in 94 hit a car that turned in front of me at 80 k/hr and wrote her off. Two years later after rebuilding her and myself I had a few thing done to her. When I came to Tassie she sat in the Launceston National Auto Museum for 6 years and then last year put her back on the road.
