Hahaha,
Mike took mine to work last week, when his was at RR, didn't have much of a choice, cos I needed the cage to do the school runs. But I checked it over each night 8)
I doubt anyone else would want to ride it though - except in emergancies!

T - you little liar, you said I could ride Ellie! OK it was just for going up and down your street, but cars reverse out of driveways - dont they Brett? Thats why I didn't grab your keys!!!

I've riden heaps of my friend's bikes (bigger fool them for trusting me) but will only let my brother-in-law and best mate ride my pride an joy. 2 simple reasons, a) they can both ride good enough and b) they're both too shit scared to try anything I wouldn't

my bike is insured so if they have a license they can ride it.

if they crash it they bought it.

On the other hand i wont ride anyone elses bike unless it is insured.
A mate has offered me a ride on his ZX10 and i am stinging to ride it but i wont until he has full insurance on it.

Dave #3 has ridden my bike many times. I've also ridden his.
Pabs rode it for a stretch on the OPH.
Ty has also taken my baby for a spin - to Wiseman's Ferry and back, I think. On another occasion, he only took the 6's foot pegs for a ride, and left the rest of the bike behind
I think I offered it to Ponti at one point, but he's obsessed with the 9 and wouldn't lower himself

There are very few people I would trust with my bike. Not only do I have to have confidence in their riding ability, but also riding attitude. And most importantly I have to know they're an honest, decent person. The "you bin it, you fix it" rule never came up - I *know* Pabs, Ty & Ponti are such completely top blokes that they'd do the right thing if they had an off - without having to mention it before handing the keys over. As for Dave #3... well..., I know where he lives.

Well tanya the chance of anyone riding blue is a big fat zero. As for the GPX i suppose that doesnt really bother me as long as i knew what the rider was like.

End of the day its only a bike and they can always be replaced or fixed.

My Blade is a bit of a slut. I will let most mates have a go and Wheelie, endo and have fun on it all they like. If I happen to have a bit of meat on the rear even do the odd donut.
The bend it mend it still applies, its just that sort of bike.

I agree with Tack, only 2 things i never lend out my bike and my girlfriend(maybe not in that particular order  ) and looking at your bikes Tanya would take a lot for me to lend out either, saves stress and friendships

Er....yeah, sorry about that man.....

Anyway I offered a dozen or so KSRC members a ride on the GPX at the last MP trackday and they all turned me down! I am happy to let people who know how to ride it take it for a spin.

As for the racebike, there are certain people who I will let ride it (Varden I still owe you a ride on it, haven't forgotten!), but that is better in the offseason or at least when there is a lot of "fixing" time before the next meeting. I would die if I had to miss a race because it was stacked or something.

I am mainly more worried about someone else hurting the engine or gearbox or something than stacking it, because then the water gets murky.......

Oh and I let heaps of people use my freestyle BMX in the pits at the track. So much easier than walking places in leathers.....

My other half lent my bike to another guy in our group when we were up at the oxley earlier this year. He had "forgotten" to bring the pilly seat for his K6 1000, and she was upset about it. Next thing i know, im being told my bike is out on loan, and i can take the K6 if i want pfft to that, why the hell would i want to ride that heap of crap, especially up there.

I've been on a certain female members 6r, that was a blast, and i just rode a mates track bike 2 weeks back. I know the risks, so do they, its a mutual acceptance.

Like a lot of people, i'll let my friends ride it cos i know their abilities. In fact i want someone to ride it at the next track day so i can have a listen and a watch, but cos its my commuter no one will take it, spoil sports.

If it was a newer bike it would be a different story tho, it was a good 12 months before i even joked about letting anyone else on the barge.

Basically, if ya a little hesitant, don't lend it, it may not be their fault that it gets binned, but the friendship will never be the same no matter what
