Re: ER-6 TEST RIDE and EVALUATION
Well, I reckon the ER6 is pretty much the reason why I have a Z1000. I too was given one as a loner while my Honda VTR was in the shop in December for its 40000 service. It was supposed to be 1 day and it blew out to 3 so I had the bike that long. 1st impresson was "f*&ken hell" but in the end it was a great ride and pretty much spot on with Gos's review.
So when I looked at farming the VTR out I remembered the ER6 but decided to look at the Z because it had more grunt and the rest is history., If I hadent ridden the ER6 I more than likley would be riding a GSXR750 or something equally boring......

Re: ER-6 TEST RIDE and EVALUATION
Yep, you bloody bet - I'm loving the Z!!
Although going from a 1000cc Vtwin to an IL4 1000 was an eye opener and I didn't bloody rev the Zed to more than 7/8 k for the first few weeks, but now it's rev city! Do miss the down low grunt a bit, hopefully a few mods will help with that!
I do have to admit I do like the 06/07 GSXR 750 - a great bike to ride, however I have only ever seen one Zed around here and it's no where as modded as mine is......

1.insurance is cheaper
2.i love the naked look
3.i hoped it might calm me down going to a more relaxed riding position
4.of all the ppl around ade, most are on faired bikes
when i saw greeny's fighter blade, i really started thinking abt WHY i ride..and im no racer..so i might as well have sumthin that looks tuff!

Re: ER-6 TEST RIDE and EVALUATION
Just found this thread.
I have had by ER6F for almost a year and haven't ever had an issue with stalling while stationary. Maybe it was an issue with that particular bike?
Also, I am only 5"5 and don't have an issue with the seat height. I am only light, so the adjustable preload is all the way down and th height is quite easy to manage.
