this isn't for a commercial enterprise........when I knock up a set of handlebar risers for my 12, you can guarantee that I will be putting up a thread about it.........and dealing with people via e-mail for any *arrangements*........what is the problem with that ??

This is not a *commercial* enterprise in the generally-accepted term. Pop-up ads are. Its a world of difference.....

I've seen Rossi with a strap with two hold handles that Linda uses when shes on the back of the bike
don't think they are worth much
maybe an altenitive to a permanent fitting on the bike

Cheers Lucas, I will have a look at that as an option as well........what I *really* need is a smallish rack, with built-in pillion-handles.......buggered if I am going to pay $300 for a commercial rack    I should just knock up a couple with the gas-axe, and flog 'em here

Hey gearbox, nice post. I've been away for four days but it's been an interesting read.

I'm sure noone gives a shit now but radiator guards = more heat (that's just a fact of life and doesn't really require a university degree to work out, it really is like asking whether a jumper makes you warmer) but the payback period when a rock hits it is about a nanosecond. Personally I wouldn't leave home without one.

Ponti and anyone else making gear and offering it for sale cheaper than retail is about as good as it gets, more power to them.

Hey Brett have you got anywhere with the headlight guard thingies yet. I'm in for one of them although I've heard they make your fairings melt from the increased heat being trapped in your lights

Glen, as an aside (and it SHOULDN'T melt your fairings) you can just buy the car headlight protectors and cut to fit, worked for me and I bought them in a pack of two so the other is used as a tank protector for my gut :)

Disclaimer: I don't make the things so if they melt your fairing, paint job, headlight or put a hole in your petrol tank, don't come crying to me :)
