Unless it was all seized on?
The broken bits were just over tightened so they clamped the fork legs, suppose that was his idea of fixing the the problem.
Allot of these older model parts are no longer available from Honda including the top yoke, so luckily there are bits & pieces appearing on flebay secondhand.

I have to say that is not as uncommon as I would have thought... my bike also came with both of those busted! Then I went to check a CB400F and CB550F for a friend and they had exactly the same problem.

Yeah Iv'e only done it once 25 years ago......its cast alloy, nip em up & be done with it, the bottom is steel so its not an issue.

Strip down of the original carbs....... what a mess, even with the spare set I have I am not going to bother with them as they probably wont handle running on Methanol, but these smothbores sure will 8)
