Dead set? Not even a camchain?
i've done mine
Recently, or at, like, 50,000km?
I'm so not looking forward to the time when my 6 eventually starts to make that particular rattle. Not trusting myself to be able to split and rejoin a camchain, it'll be split-the-cases time... eugh.
wouldnt have been more than 20K ago, got 93 on it now. it was actually the tensioner that stuffed up.

(gets out checklist for tomorrow's spannering episode)
(scribbles "check camchain tensioner" on it)
Have I mentioned I'm the most paranoid home mechanic in the Southern Hemisphere?
Nope - Cam chain is still original. Apart from your normal chain, sprokets, brakes, shimms, etc I did have to replace my steering head bearings ( due to too many 'accidental' wheelies).
Castrol Synthetic 4 stroke.. umm think it is called XT is what I have always used.
I was also told to run one unleaded fuel tank to 4 premium tanks. Apparently it cleans the bikes spark plugs etc up.
Plus I kiss and tuck my bike in every night, it's the love and care.... isn't it? lol
<feeling like a weirdo>

He was the original owner and had full history.
Others who know this guy have no doubt that the mileage is valid.
For what it was worth, the bike was in very good nick although the same cant be said of the owner (he was about 80 in the shade).

wasn't an old german guy was it? i remember meeting an old german guy who'd travelled across the world with his wife on an old BMW, he's got a book out about it.
Bloody hell Scotty, wanna save some of that Petrol money for the group Rides, as i know we certainly missed your company on the Capton Strap On adventure last week end. Cheers Brett
Aww shucks Brett Yeah it looked like quite an adventure and missed some monumental moments too.
interested reading the mileage.....not feeling so bad now....there is life left in my bike...zx6 2000 just clicked over 130 000..and still going...although...curious as to servicing...it did get its 20 000km service a few years ago...must be due for another one soon....kwaka's are tough!!
LOL!!!! that's what i was waiting for.... just riding the thing and NEVER servicing it.... wondering how that went, cuz my old CBR6 was on par with your zx6 (over 100G and not being serviced for 70G+!)
