Re: The Build up Continues... MORE New Updated Pics !!
Macca has a J model which is the non ABS model that Kawa brought in for race bikes.
No ABS and a lighter battery as you only need the heavey OEM if your running ABS

Ahh sweet, we never got that option in the West. (Kind of lucky we even get bikes at all really)

it wasnt something Kawa advertised. You had to know about them. A shipment of about 100 or so of them came in around April

Re: The Build up Continues... Now MORE New Updated Pics !!
OK, the build up continues, (you must be getting sick of this by now
)
Finally over the weekend I was been able to get the correct custom link pipe made, with many thanks to Mark from 'Madaz Performance' for an excellent custom job. So I was able to get everything fitted up this morning. Everything fitted up so well and relaxed, no forcing anywhere, and it sits nice and close without being too close to the swingarm. Definitely in closer than the stock muffler (even though I do like that look) but it sounds way better .. no metallic ring anymore, but a deep throaty carbon note.
So to sum everything up, I am now running the full Leo Vince EVO II system. Headers come to a 55mm mid point into the link pipe. The link pipe, which has the small resonator in the line, but is still 52mm straight through and has the lambda sensor fitted, this reduces further to 50.8mm and then goes into the carbon muffler... So an excellent performance system that is not ridiculously loud... It also allows for the stock heat shield to be fitted...
New pics here, you can see the rear seat pad and new rearsets better as well. Braided lines have arrived at the post office.. So I will get them fitted tomorrow.

Re: The Build up Continues... Now MORE New Updated Pics !!
Yes Russ, I also like the look of the stock pipe...!! But it sticks out a bit, the Leo Vince sits in nice and close.. but still I can always slip it back on if I wanted to..
Both set ups sound good, but the Leo is a bit louder and deeper in the tone....
Anyway, the 'Speigler' braided lines arrived this morning, so they are already fitted. Very impressed with the whole set up, as they give you a rubber mounted clamp for the traction control wire to be mounted when you remove all the stock bulky lines, the lines also have rubber sections so you can use the stock clips for clipping the traction control wire back on as per stock, and larger rubbers also fitted so you can pop them back into the stock line holders.. This all makes for a perfectly fitting 'factory' look.. I am very impressed as I didn't know they where coming with all these extra's.
Also for those that dont already know, the 'Speigler' lines have adjustable banjo fittings, so you can swivel them around to get them just in the right position for fitting without twisting the lines around, or having the lines sitting there under tension.. So the whole set up went on in a relaxed position. Here are some installed pics.. they are not the best but you will get the general idea. Still waiting on one part for the 'Woodcraft' rearsets to finish this build up as they sent me the wrong part for the gear linkage
.. Oh and the ohlins TTX of course, but that is coming up later on

Re: The Build Up Continues... MORE Stuff Added & Updated Pic
Ok, almost there...
I decided to also fit a set of 'Woodcraft' frame sliders, as the frame is pretty wide on the shoulders right on the engine mounts, so these would definitely cop a beating in a crash. A lot of the other brands of frame sliders stick out way too much, but the 'Woodcraft' ones for this model sit in nice and close and are very well engineered to be very strong, and the pucks are replaceable, they just bolt off...
So here they are fitted. Seriously it was a 5 minute job.. probably 10 minutes for me because it was so frigging cold in the shed.. but a very easy fit. They are all threadlocked and ready to go. So to date the bike is basically now ready to ride. I will be swapping the rear shock over to an Ohlins TTX as soon as the budget allows, probably sooner
I am very happy with the build up. I am not searching for anymore power, and since Kawaskai has enlarged the standard air filter by 48% for this model
even the stock filter allows ample air in to breath, and with the Leo Vince EVO II Pipe fitted, it has way enough power for me. Handling is the way to go now
Total mods done to this bike from brand new are - (not in any order)
1 - Replaced levers with Pazzo shorties,
2 - Disconnect & Remove EXUP cables,
3 - Remove Catalytic Convertor / Muffler,
4 - Fit ‘Leo Vince’ EVO II Link Pipe,
5 - Fit New Rear Sprocket (+2),
6 - Block Off Secondary Air Injection,
7 - Fit ‘Armour Bodies’ Race Glass,
8 - Fit ‘GB Racing’ Engine Covers,
9 - Fit ‘Evotech’ Muffler hanger,
10 - Fit ‘Woodcraft’ rearsets,
11 - Fit ‘Speigler’ braided brake lines (RBF 600 Race brake fluid),
12 - Fit ‘Leo Vince’ EVO II Carbon Fibre muffler,
13 - Remove Stock Tyres,
14 - Fit Dunlop D211's,
15 - Fit ‘Woodcraft’ Crash Knobs,
16- Fit pickup knobs,
17 - Fit 'Techspec' tank pad, (just added)
I have probably forgotten something here, but this list is pretty close.. Macca

Yes still running the 190/55 rear tyre... but I also have a 200/55 that I will be using at some stage this year..
And I am looking into some radiator protectors as well... although I did see an excellent home made one that looked very neat on another build up site the other day.. made of wire mesh and cable tied to the radiator.. neat and effective..!!
