Re: Bring it back!!!
whats the etiquette when you pass a group of riders? just nod to the first or each one as you go past.
felt like noddy coming back from castlemaine on sunday when every other bike seemed to be riding up there
and they nearly all nodded back, except the wankers on dual sports.

Bugger that! I just give 'em a group nod and they can share it.JetPilot wrote:The only draw back is when there is 15 riders in a row.... I get a sore neck.

Re: Bring it back!!!
the nod is definately more visible than a twitch of the finger when attached to the grips, and yeah keep it friendly, keep nodding.......... isnt the nod in recognition of a like minded being......no matter what their ride is..

Re: Bring it back!!!
yea with this in my mind, i made a conscious effort to nod today... loads of kids on 250's, wearing tshirt and shorts who just looked at me funny cos they had no idea...
as for groups, if its a big group i give a group nod, or a wave if i can... or a thumbs up is my usual...

Re: Bring it back!!!
I try to nod, or sometimes wave as long as I'm not mid corner. If there's a group of them then an extended wave is easier than what turns into a head wobble if you try to do the multi nod. It don't matter how many of them are, I'll acknowledge as many of them as I can. Sometimes even scooters, some of the luxo ones I have trouble telling apart from real bikes anyway

Re: Bring it back!!!
When I was growing up dreaming of being able to ride a green machine, I got the biggest thrill when riders waved to me when I was sitting in the car with the folks.
Now I make a conscious effort to wave to all and sundry whether they be on a bike, in a car or standing at the lights in Cranbourne when I'm on my way back from PI after the GP/SBK....a little slip of the tyre also goes along way to please tha fans.....

Re: Bring it back!!!
I nod at sports bike riders, generally not cruiser riders though. I feel like an idiot when I am in the car, nodding at bikers out of habit!
