You are mega old now! how much older do you think you are going to get?

Ummm, no. That would be learning how much of a rider you really are...
They don't pass the "what would me mates think if I rocked up on one of these" test,
As far as tests go, that one's pretty faken stupid.

To be honest, a part of me is surprised Gos hasn't already come up with that, except with a 12R...

Should rock up to the dealers for a test ride while I am waiting for the rare clutch parts to arrive from japan.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

This was my ZRX1200 which I owned from '02 - '04.

and this is my GSX14 that I currently own (since Feb '06)

Image

Both are great bikes. The ZRX has more top end, the GSX has more bottom end. The ZRX more HP, the GSX more torque. The GSX is F.I, the ZRX carby, the GSX 22L tank, ZRX 19L, GSX 6 speed, the ZRX 5 speed. Both weigh about the same ZRX 223kg, GSX 225kg ( get an AKra and lose 17kg ) Handling is about the same on both on the road - havent done a trackday on the GSX yet but did half a dozen on the ZRX. The GSX is more refined and feels like a new bike. The ZRX is not as refined and feels like an older bike.

I loved my ZRX and will always have a soft spot for them, but I also love my GSX and theres nothing else Id rather own. For me, thats a big statement!

Ohh puleeese... sounds like macho BS... do you really believe that crap. Riding in sh1t conditions make you *more* of a rider.
What does that description actually mean anyway? What's the scale for comparison ... bragging rights as far as I can work out. (see impressing your mates below)

No argument there, but its still very common.

Get yourself ready to start smackin'. Every teenage kid thinks it, practices it and wants to be popular and included. Some kids get their own worth sooner and some take a while longer. Some don't make it at all and are always trying to impress.

Barrabob,

If ya want to buy my ZRX1200S, you will have to pick it up from Perth (now there's a nice ride for ya).

It is my favourite bike, but I want to keep the ZZR1200 .............

"She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed" says one bike is enough.

Love 'em both.

Both have made the trek across the continent for the MotoGP - never missed a beat - still running like new!

Thanks for the offer bill west but no rides to Perth for me in the near future, guys the 700kms in the 2degrees was going to the GP a couple of years ago and it was a perfect 36 degrees when we left Brisbane and 8 degrees and pissing down in Armidale then the next day it was like 2 degrees in orange but hey you aren't about to turn around and head back to Brissy are you thats not where you are going.

Then there was snow on the Snowies.

Worked out why i took thermals with me after day 2.

1200 engines are completely different than the 1100, so the ZZR cams are not a req. performance boost and wouldn't fit anyway.
ZZR1200 cams fit though and they do make a difference if you are looking for top end.

Cheers,
Pete

P.S. I bet all my add on bits fit a 1200 motor (sans the jet kit) just as well as an 1100... They're not that different.
I must correct myself here.... Evidently the bore spacings are different on the ZRX12. Sorry...

i found out the differences when researching ZRX's, but wasn't prepared to argue over it.
